Suffer for well-doing before the Lord, so as to avoid sin's destructiveness...

"For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:" 1 Peter 3:18, KJV

Solemnly commend your cause and soul to the Lord...

"For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?" Esther 4:14, KJV

Rebuke obstinacy and pride before the Lord, lest your soul be ruined...

"Thou, even thou, art Lord alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee." Nehemiah 9:6, KJV

Rest upon sure and firm faith in the Lord...

Trust the Lord to administer everything good, walking uprightly before him with servile care...

"For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness." Psalm 84;10, KJV

Let tribulation work patience, quietly waiting and hoping for salvation of the Lord, during temptation and distress...

"The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him. It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord." Lamentations 3:25-26, KJV

Be preserved unto glory by grace of the Lord, comforted and enlivened in all distress...

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead," 1 Peter 1:3, KJV

Be enabled to patience of Christ by loving the Lord and obeying his commands...

"And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ." 2 Thessalonians 3:5, KJV

Repent of idolatry before the Lord...

"That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:" Acts 17:27, KJV

Be wrought upon the terrors of the Lord and recveive his mercies against moral evil and sin...

"Can two walk together, except they be agreed?" Amos 3:3, KJV

Seek mercy in and by the Lord, so that you may escape divine wrath breaking forth among us...

"For thus saith the Lord unto the house of Israel, Seek ye me, and ye shall live:But seek not Bethel, nor enter into Gilgal, and pass not to Beersheba: for Gilgal shall surely go into captivity, and Bethel shall come to nought." Amos 5:4-5, KJV

Glorify the Lord by not being tempted to envy...

Show obedience to the Lord, so God secures you withoput trouble or pain...

 Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.

Pray to the Lord for all saving mercies, to be enriched in faith, and for repentance...

Assure sinners of the Lord's pardon and call them to repentance...

Rely upon Christ's intercession and sacrifice, so as to be brought into clearer light...

"Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them." Hebrews 7:25, KJV

Suppress fears and doubts through the offered peace and joy of the Lord...

"Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost." Romans 15:13, KJV

Seek a quickening, commanding and living principle of Yahweh's grace in your heart...

"For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:" Job 19:25, KJV

Abandon unbelieving and proud unwillingness before the Lord, so as to receive eternal happiness...

"O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!" Matthew 23:37, KJV

Daily pray to the Lord for armament against temptations and strength with which to fight daily troubles...

Be true and honest in dealings before the Lord, treating others with kindness...

"Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God." Leviticus 19:31, KJV

Show a benevolent, peaceable, and holy spirit before the Lord...

"Let no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth." 1 Corinthians 10:24, KJV

By faith of the Lord, seek God's regenerating grace and sovereign choice...

"But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
That no flesh should glory in his presence." 1 Corinthians 1:27-29, KJV

Implant the grace of the Lord in your heart, rebuking wicked men...

Walk in the Lord's ways and fear him in each station of life...

Show inward obedience to the Lord by the power of divine grace...
