Truly repent of sins, so God will forgive them and remove affliction...

Exhibit sorrow for sins and separation from them before God in self-abhorrence...

Know the power of God's anger and fear it, considering how forcibly it can strike and how high it can reach...

"What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.
In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me." Psalm 56:3-4, KJV

Let God turn all you do against his people to turn to their good, and be contented with your present lot

"Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." Hebrews 13:5, KJV

Though oppressed and afflicted, never be ashamed of Christ...
